Welcome to South Jefferson Physical Therapy. At South Jefferson Physical Therapy, we provide a variety of physical therapy and rehabilitative techniques that deliver real results to ease pain, improve mobility, maximize physical functionality and prevent future injuries.

Therapist help to evaluate/ diagnose, manage and treat various injuries related to the musculoskeletal system. The methods employed by these professional often include joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, massage therapy, strength training, gait and balance training, electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, ultrasound, low laser light therapy, manual and or mechanical spinal distraction and other forms of treatment to include iontophoresis and phonophoresis.

Manual therapy and or medical massage is the practice of using touch to manipulate the soft tissue muscles of the body. Clients often seek massage for its medical benefit and for relaxation purposes. There is a wide range of massage treatments available such as soft tissue mobilization, deep tissue, trigger point therapy myofascial release, manual stretching technique, passive range of motion and manual spinal distraction.

Exercise can include stretching to reduce stress on joints, core stability exercises to strengthen the muscles of your trunk (your back and abdomen) and hips, lifting weights to strengthen muscles, walking, biking, and elliptical and many other forms of activity.
