For three decades we have treated all forms of spinal disease at Kings Park Physical Therapy. From the patient with disc herniation and radiculopathy, to the restricted musculoskeletal and rheumatological patient. All patients have different symptoms, needs, and tolerance to exercise. Having the full resources of modality therapy, hands-on care and strengthening equipment, has given our physical therapists a full array of treatment options to best suit the needs of their patients.
35 to 40 percent of Kings Park Physical Therapy's patients are over the age of sixty. The staff at Kings Park evaluates and treats a variety of injuries and illnesses among the geriatric population. Our staff at Kings Park Physical Therapy has always stressed the benefits of exercise for the older person. We always employ specific, individualized exercise programs to assure these benefits are realized. These include, but are not limited to, blood-pressure control, diabetes control, enhancing muscle strength and balance, and prevention of osteoporosis.
